SCAR CAMOUFLAGE SKIN
It is recommended that clients should always come in at their most regular skin tone to ensure the best colour match. Pigments used in camouflage are stable and have been formulated to stay true to colour. This means when sun tanning, the area that has been camouflaged may stay lighter in the skin compared to the rest of the skin that is getting a tan as the pigment does not tan with the sun. If the skin is suntanned, the camouflage will still blend in better in comparison to the colour the area was prior to the camouflage (typically white). Once the skin is no longer tanned, the camouflaged area will blend in beautifully again. Variables like the person (everyone is unique), their lifestyle (are they in the sun a lot) may impact the longevity of the treatment and a touch up may be needed to refresh the colour. Paramedical tattoo inks are designed to be in the body forever. Most clients describe the pain as a mild discomfort at most, however, each individual can experience pain differently. Scars from injuries such as self-harm scars and accidents Scars from Surgeries such as facelifts, breast augmentation, butt lifts and tummy tucks Types of scars that benefit from Camouflage: This treatment helps to conceal the stretch mark/scar and will lighten or darken the area to match the natural pigmentation of the skin.Ĭamouflage can be performed on areas that have completely healed (this often takes 1 year) and is white in appearance. Scars and stretch marks that are red, pink or purplish in appearance are not a good candidate for this treatment. Camouflage (also known as Paramedical Tattoo and Micropigmentation) is the technique of inserting pigment into the dermis of the skin for results similar to permanent makeup.
